A kitchen or bathroom remodel usually touches demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, tile, cabinets and paint. When those trades are hired separately, the homeowner ends up coordinating the schedule. As your general contractor, we manage the crew and trades, keep the job moving, and handle the permits and inspections the work needs.
RD Fast Construction Inc. has held its Class B license since 2023. Owner Rafael Diaz has more than 10 years of hands-on construction experience, and he is involved in the walk-through and the estimate.

Remodeling Questions
How much does a kitchen or bathroom remodel cost?
It depends on the size of the room, whether the layout changes, and the materials you choose. Moving plumbing, gas lines or walls costs more than replacing finishes in the same layout. After a walk-through we give you a written, itemized estimate, free of charge.
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen or bathroom?
Work that changes plumbing, electrical, gas, walls or the layout normally needs a building permit from your city or county. Purely cosmetic work may not. We tell you what your project needs during the estimate and handle the permits and inspections as part of the job.
Can I stay in my home during the remodel?
For a single kitchen or bathroom, many homeowners stay in the house. For a whole-home renovation it depends on the scope and how many rooms are out of service at once. We plan the sequence of work with you before we start.
Can you build from my architect's or designer's plans?
Yes. Send us the plans and we will review them and give you an itemized price. If you don't have plans yet, tell us what you want to change and we will tell you what the project needs.
Do you also do additions and ADUs?
Yes. We build room additions, ADUs and garage conversions, and we can combine an addition with a remodel of the existing house.
Are you a licensed contractor?
Yes. RD Fast Construction Inc. holds California Class B General Building Contractor license #1105076, licensed since 2023. You can look it up on the CSLB website.
